LONDON FRAMES, HOLLYWOOD CONNECTIONS

In 2005, Tom was approached by the film company for ‘Keeping Mum’. They wanted a bespoke pair handmade for the film’s star, Rowan Atkinson, and asked for it to be on set in just four days. Tom worked day and night and hand delivered the frame on time.

From bespoke fittings for filmstars to cinematic icons, Tom Davies has since become Hollywood’s frame designer of choice. His creations have graced the big screen in The Matrix Resurrections, Cruella, Superman, Star Wars and The Conjuring, and on Angelina Jolie in Maria with many more projects in the works.

Each design for a film begins with a character, a mood and a vision - just like every bespoke frame created for Tom Davies clients.

With the honour of creating Clark Kent’s glasses for the 2016 movie Batman vs. Superman being a career highlight for Tom Davies, he is thrilled to have developed a full collection of limited edition, Superman-inspired frames over the years.

“Who doesn’t love Superman?” says Tom. “I created this very special collection inspired by my lifelong passion for this character and these movies and I hope it shines through in every single element of these frames.”

Tom supplied over 200 bespoke frames for The Matrix Resurrections, including characters Neo, Trinity and Morpheus. With each character carefully considered for what their frames say about them, their role in the film and what the film's production team wanted the audience to understand about the characters.

The film inspired him to create this collection of ten sunglasses and optical frames.
