To celebrate 100 years of storytelling at Warner Bros. Tom Davies was asked to design and create a collection of Wizard of Oz optical frames and sunglasses for the new reimagining of this classic story.

“Like millions around the world, I grew up captivated by visuals, costume design and storytelling in The Wizard of Oz. For this exciting new project, I was inspired by the iconic ruby slippers and you can see each frame has a pair at the end of the temple arms. WIZARD GREEN-24 £210

This frame is a reproduction of a frame designed and launched in 1939 at the time of the original film. Originally launched in a celluloid acetate material, a plastic which was eventually phased due to it being highly flammable, we recreated this in modern cellulose acetate and then decorated it with emeralds.

Look at the slippers at the tips of the arms which are also encrusted with crystal emeralds in a homage to Dorothy's famous footwear.

This frame is a reproduction of a frame designed and launched in 1939 at the time of the original film. Originally launched in a black celluloid acetate material, a plastic which was eventually phased due to it being highly flammable, we recreated this in modern cellulose acetate and then we decorated it with emeralds.
