This November, I'll be travelling with Orbis, the global eye-health charity whose work I'm proud to support as an Ambassador. This journey isn't just about travel, it's about witnessing sight-saving change in action.

In Ethiopia, I'll visit remote communities, meet local eye care teams, and see firsthand how Orbis's life-changing work restores not just sight, but hope and opportunity.

I'll also be lacing up my trainers to take on the Great Ethiopian Run! I'm not much of a runner, but knowing that every mile helps give the gift of sight makes it worth every step.

• £35 funds surgery to stop irreversible blindness
• Every £1 donated delivers an estimated £36 return to society - a true, lasting impact

Right now, 1 billion people worldwide live with vision loss - and 90% of it is treatable or preventable. One of the leading causes, trachoma, is still robbing too many people of their sight. With enough support, Ethiopia could be free from trachoma by 2030.

When I set out to raise £50,000, I never imagined we'd surpass that so quickly. Now, with a month to go before we depart, our fantastic team of fundraisers has already raised over £75,000 - and we're still climbing.
