FUNDRAISING GOAL £17500
Tom Davies is a long-standing ambassador for the eye-health charity Orbis.

I’m heading to Ethiopia and I’d love your support.

Later this year, I’ll be travelling to Ethiopia with the eye health charity Orbis, whose work I’m proud to support as an Ambassador.

One billion people on the planet live with vision loss - a staggering 90% is treatable or preventable. Trachoma is an infectious eye disease and one of the leading causes of blindness. Orbis is working to eliminate trachoma and delivers sight-saving programmes in more than 200 countries. A donation of just £1 can help save or restore the sight of two people.

 
As a partner of Brentford Football Club, Tom Davies envisages raising more than the capacity of the GTech Community Stadium.

My aim is to raise £17,500. Why? Because when I go to watch my team, Brentford FC, playing in front of its 17,500 fans, I think “What if I raised £17,500 and twice the number in this stadium had their sight saved?” Visualising it like this really brings the scale of the problem to life.

So on to the fundraising, while in Ethiopia I’ll take on the Great Ethiopian Run. If I’m honest, I’m not a runner! But this cause is too important. THE FUNDRAISING

What you can see on this page is my COMPANY target which includes all the fundraising efforts of the people coming with me. This is the £17,500 target based on a full stadium at Brentford. But let’s be frank, we need to smash that and aim for a cup final crowd at Wembley Stadium!
